The Amazon website could not be easier to find – the UK branch is located at www.amazon.co.uk.
How can I see all the kitchen appliances they sell?
As always on the site, the main departments are listed in the top left hand corner of the home page. You should see an option for home and garden, and once you spot it you should hover over it and wait for the list of alternatives for that section to appear.
Do you see an option to click on appliances? That’s the link you want, so click on it and wait to see the next page. You will see that there are no big appliances listed under the kitchen section, so what you have to do is select ‘all the rest’ that appears at the foot of that section.
On the next page you can opt for kitchen appliances only at the top of the page on the left hand side. You’ll find items such as cookers, hobs and ovens in this section, so just click on the one you need.
As you can see, it can be a bit tricky to navigate all the sections. So the best bet is often to use the search feature to find what you need. Just type in the name of the appliance you want to buy and you will find all you need from there. It’s a lot simpler!

There are so many of them that you might find it hard to make your choice, but there are lots of ways to narrow things down a bit. For example you can choose your preferred brand or according to the budget you have available.
Is there a lot of useful information on their site?
Yes, and as you would expect from Amazon – particularly if you have ever visited the site before – there is a lot of information there on the product pages in particular.
If you click on one you’ll see what we mean. For starters you will be able to see who is offering the item for sale. It could be direct from Amazon, but there are other sellers who have their items for sale too. This means you could get a cheaper appliance if you take a quick look at the information given on the page.
If there is more than one seller offering the item for sale, you can see all the others listed on the right hand side of the page. Check here to get the best deal – and don’t forget to add on any delivery charge.
You will usually be able to enlarge the image given on the page, and there may be more than one to view as well. Underneath this you can find the technical details of the appliance, followed by some delivery information.
Keep scrolling down further and you will see some more product details. These will generally be written more conversationally than the technical details, which are very factual and presented in a grid style.
A little further down still and you will find some customer reviews if anyone has left any. These are presented in a five star style, and you can elect to read them all or just read those which give a particular number of stars.
