Comet is another one of those big stores that you see in many high streets and shopping centres. And they are one of the best places to go to when you are thinking about upgrading one or more of your current kitchen appliances.

The main menu for the Comet website is stretched across the top of the site. And on the far left hand side you will see a tab for the kitchen and home section. You only need to hover your mouse button over this to see all the options you have available to view.
Simply choose the department you need – such as fridges and freezers for example – click on it, and then view the next page. You can then see how many items are in each section.
Do they have a lot of kitchen appliances to offer?
Oh yes definitely, you will be spoilt for choice here! They’ve got dozens of dishwashers; nearly two hundred freestanding cookers, and plenty more integrated ones.
And if it’s washing machines or dryers you are looking for, they’ve got those and much more besides as well.
Is there a lot of useful information on their site?
The website is very well designed with easy access to all the sections. When you look at a particular section you will see a best seller at the top of each one, followed by all the rest of the items.
They are naturally listed with the cheapest item first, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding something to match your budget. You can also perform an advanced search which enables you to check what price bracket to look in, among other things.
Once you have found something you want to look at in more detail, just click on that listing to go through to the main page for that particular appliance. As with most websites you can enlarge the smaller image they give you, but it is much better to zoom in on it. This enables you to see things much more clearly.
You’ll see basic facts next to the picture, but you are better off scrolling down the page a bit to see what else there is written there. And you will find a lot!
The specs come first, and you will find all the important details about the product to read here. The next tab along in the list is reviews, where you can find out what previous customers thought of the product. This might encourage you to buy it – or it might put you off altogether! But whatever you decide this is a good function to have on a website.
The delivery tab will invite you to type in your postcode. This will enable them to find out when you could have the item delivered to your home, depending on availability. This is a good feature as it gives you an idea of how long it might be before you receive your appliance. If the time limit is unsuitable you might decide to choose something else.

Assuming you want to order over the internet, click the appropriate button and you will be taken directly into a secure page. This will show you the item you have just selected in your basket.
